چکیده
ABSTRACT Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora) is the second most produced and commercialized ornamental plant in world. Measuring leaf area through non-destructive methods fundamental for studies on its growth production. The estimation of by linear dimensions leaves can be a strategy this purpose. objective study was to find allometric equations estimate chrysanthemum. linear, without intercept, quadratic, cubic, power, exponential regression models were used analysis. choice based highest coefficients determination. method using has accuracy estimating (LA) chrysanthemum from product between length (L) width (W). LA estimated equation ŷ = 0.6611*LW0.9490 (L - length; W width). This will allow researchers producers determine non-destructively.

Leaf area estimation by a simple and non-destructive method
In this study, the relation between leaf area and its dimensions was estimated using a non-destructive method. This method is based on this fact that the leaf shape does not change during the growing season. In this method, leaf area during the growing season is estimated based on the dimensions of the smallest leaf in the initial stage of plant growth or at any growth stage by measuring the le...
متن کاملNon-destructive Method for Estimating Biomass of Plants Using Digital Camera Images
Abstract Plant growth and biomass assessments are required in production and research. Such assessments are followed by major decisions (e.g., harvest timing) that channel resources and influence outcomes. In research, resources required to assess crop status affect other aspects of experimentation and, therefore, discovery. Destructive harvests are important because they influence treatment s...
متن کاملNon-destructive leaf area measurement in maize (Zea mays L.).
In this research, leaf area prediction model was developed for some leaf-used maize (Zea mays L.) cultivars namely Coluna, Luce, Maveric, Ranchero, TTM-813, Zamora and RX-788 grown in Black Sea region of Turkey. Lamina width, length and leaf area were measured without destroying the leaf to develop the models. The actual leaf areas of the plants were measured by PLACOM Digital Planimeter and mu...
متن کاملNon-destructive linear model for leaf area estimation in Vernonia ferruginea Less.
Leaf area estimation is an important biometrical trait for evaluating leaf development and plant growth in field and pot experiments. We developed a non-destructive model to estimate the leaf area (LA) of Vernonia ferruginea using the length (L) and width (W) leaf dimensions. Different combinations of linear equations were obtained from L, L2, W, W2, LW and L2W2. The linear regressions using th...
متن کاملNon-destructive equations to estimate the leaf area of Styrax pohlii and Styrax ferrugineus.
We developed linear equations to predict the leaf area (LA) of the species Styrax pohlii and Styrax ferrugineus using the width (W) and length (L) leaf dimensions. For both species the linear regression (Y=α+bX) using LA as a dependent variable vs. W × L as an independent variable was more efficient than linear regressions using L, W, L2 and W2 as independent variables. Therefore, the LA of S. ...
